What data we collect

Togetherly collects the following information to provide and personalize the service:

• Account information: name, email address, and authentication credentials
• Relationship context: partner name, relationship start date, love languages, and relationship goals you choose to share
• Voice reflections: audio transcriptions of your spoken reflections (audio is transcribed and discarded; only text is stored)
• Chat conversations: messages exchanged with the AI companion
• Quizzes and activities: answers, scores, and completion data
• Love notes: messages you send to your partner through the app
• Usage data: app interactions, feature usage patterns, and device information for improving the service

How we use your data

Your data is used to:

• Generate personalized reminders and nudges relevant to your relationship
• Provide AI-powered conversations that understand your context over time
• Create quizzes and activities tailored to your relationship stage
• Deliver love notes between partners
• Track your presence streaks and relationship patterns
• Improve the service through anonymized, aggregated usage data

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase infrastructure, which provides enterprise-grade security including encryption at rest and in transit. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your information.

Third-party services

Togetherly uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase — authentication, data storage, cloud functions, and hosting
• Anthropic Claude API — powers the AI companion conversations and personalized reminder generation. Conversation data is sent to Anthropic for processing but is not used to train their models.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your individual data is never shared with your partner's therapist, employer, or any other party.

The only data shared between partners is content you explicitly choose to share: love notes you send, quiz answers after both partners complete a quiz, and connection activity visible to both partners.

Data deletion

You can delete your account at any time through the app's settings. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data, including reflections, conversations, quizzes, love notes, and account information. This action cannot be undone.
